ARTHUR MIGIE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Migie at the age of 69 on Monday, June 20, 2011 at Riverview Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Paulette and his son Bill (Mary) and his grandchildren Beth (Steve), Emma, Sarah, and Joe, his sister Carol Raizen (Morris) and his brother Howard as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ida and Bill Migie. He greatly appreciated his friendships and made lifelong connections. His sense of fairness and generosity were always evident in all his accomplishments. He found a lot of joy in his summers at Winnipeg Beach with family and friends, and in later years really enjoyed travelling on his many well-researched trips. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Riverview 3E for their outstanding care. Funeral services will be held at the Temple Shalom, 1077 Grant Ave., on Wednesday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity.

Hello, My name is Morrie (Donaldson) Somerville, my Baba and Gege (Olga and Henry Dedick) had the cottage next door at Winnipeg Beach in the late 70's. I have so many wonderful memories of your father and how he played with us (Billy and I) and your family was just wonderful. I have so many fond memories of the summers we spent living beside you at the cabin. We now have our own cabin in Sandy Hook and when ever we are there drive down Park Ave to see memories from childhood. My sincere condolences to all of you. Take Care. - Posted by: Morrie Somerville (Acquaintance) on: Jun 22, 2011
